- Times in the Playback, Event and Alarm Logs are incorrect by the current time zone.
- The Set Logger Clock dialog accessed from the control panel displays the current system time and the logger time incorrectly.

Cause
This problem is caused by different implementations of the time functions in the Microsoft run-time dynamic link library MSVCRT.DLL. This DLL is located in the windows system directory which is typically C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM for computers running Windows 95/98 or ME or C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32 for computers running Windows NT4, Windows 2000 or XP. To avoid the risk of breaking already installed applications Pronto for Windows does not install a copy of this DLL but uses the one already installed on the system. Microsoft has released several different versions of this DLL, the list below shows versions tested and the status of this problem.
Version | Size | Status of time zone problem |
5.00.7022 | 271,632 bytes | No (does not cause problem) |
5.00.7128 | 280,576 bytes | No (does not cause problem) |

To find out which version of MSVCRT.DLL is loaded on a particular computer perform the following steps.
Using Windows Explorer go to the windows system directory and locate the file MSVCRT.DLL, right click on this file and select PROPERTIES from the drop down menu. Select the version tab to view the version information for the DLL.
Resolution
For all versions and operating systems update Pronto for Windows to release 5.04 or later.
