Recent Highlights and Exciting Events Ahead for Outram Research

As we progressed through 2025, Outram Research continued to be actively involved in key industry events in the power quality analysis, utilities and technology spheres. We’re proud to be able to interact with innovators worldwide and are using this time to reflect on recent participation in key events and share our excitement for some promising upcoming ones, where we’ll continue to engage with the energy sector community with enthusiasm and drive.

Here’s a roundup of where we’ve been and where you’ll find us in the weeks and months ahead.

Hitachi Energy Grid Components Roadshow – UK-Wide

8th – 9th September 2025

Hitachi Energy Grid Components Roadshow website

We were delighted to be part of the Hitachi Energy Grid Components Roadshow, an invite-only mobile exhibition that travelled across 18 cities in 13 countries to boost power quality and efficiency across Europe.

On 8th September 2025 at Halcyon Drives in Leeds, Outram Research had the opportunity to liaise with the Hitachi team and their channel partners discussing how our power quality analysers and on-site services and harmonic surveys can facilitate the integrations of their advanced grid infrastructure. The following day, 9th September at Inverter Drives, Nottingham, our products were presented to industry specialists and Hitachi Energy’s IDS partners.

Being part of this prestigious roadshow alongside Hitachi Energy was a fantastic opportunity to engage with professionals at the forefront of grid modernisation and demonstrate our commitment to supporting reliable, efficient power networks. We were honoured to contribute to some important focused conversations and discussions around new harmonic mitigation technologies and developments.

Energy Innovation Summit – Glasgow, Scotland

5th – 6th November 2025

Energy Innovation Summit website

Outram Research was also very pleased to exhibit and present at in the Energy Innovation Summit, taking place in Glasgow this November. This event brings together innovators, industry leaders, and technology providers to explore cutting-edge solutions for the energy sector’s most pressing challenges.

On the first day of the summit, John Outram joined Lara Cardoso from SP Energy Networks, to present their latest update on our Real Time Fault Level Monitoring innovation project, giving an insight into how SPEN are now using their Real Time Fault Level Monitors (RTFLMs) to increase their utilisation of the distribution network. Here’s the link to the presentation given https://smarter.energynetworks.org/media/evupe4e3/real-time-fault-level-monitoring.pdf

The Summit focuses on accelerating the transition to sustainable energy systems, addressing grid modernisation, renewable integration, and the technologies that will shape the future of power networks. Outram Research and their product offerings sit well within that remit allowing them to engage with fellow industry professionals contributing to discussions on power quality monitoring and fault level management, two integral factors in driving efficiency, accuracy, and optimisation of the grid.

Glasgow provides an excellent backdrop for this event, particularly given Scotland’s ambitious renewable energy targets and the crucial role that power quality monitoring plays in supporting grid stability as we integrate more distributed energy resources.
